Job Opportunity: CT Tech
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 10 weeks
Position Details
- Shift: Nights, Friday-Sunday (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM)
- Caseload: Varying inpatient and Emergency Department cases
- Equipment: 3 Siemens scanners — Siemens experience is required
- Work Environment: Usually 2 technologists per shift; may occasionally work alone for full or partial shifts
- Guaranteed Hours:
- 36 hours/week for 3 shifts of 12 hours
- 48 hours/week for 4 shifts of 12 hours
- 40 hours/week for other shift patterns
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist
- CT Technologist experience within the last year
- Siemens scanner experience
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Certifications & Licenses
- ARRT and ARRT Advanced certifications
- BLS certification (AHA only)
- State professional license verification required (Missouri license verifiable via NURSYS)
- Additional certifications may be required depending on unit (refer to unit-specific requirements)
Background & Compliance Requirements
- Criminal background check within 6 months of start date (7-year search including statewide and nationwide checks)
- Quarterly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
- Education verification of highest related degree required before start
- Drug testing within 1 year of start, must remain valid throughout assignment
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit mask testing (N95 respirators) required and must be renewed annually
- Immunizations and health screenings required:
- Tdap vaccine or declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframes
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination/declination as applicable
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
- Various facility-specific compliance documents and policies must be reviewed and signed prior to start (e.g., HIPAA, hand hygiene, dress code)
Additional Requirements
- Two professional references required (supervisors preferred)
- Unit-specific competency exams and skills checklists required and must be updated annually
- Missouri Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR) and other state-specific background checks as applicable
- Badge photo and facility badge required prior to start
Notes
- No prior travel experience required
- Locals not accepted for this position
- One segment of return-to-office (RTO) allowed per 13-week contract segment
This position offers an opportunity to work in an acute care hospital setting with advanced Siemens imaging technology during night shifts on weekends. It is suitable for CT Technologists with at least 2 years of experience and the required certifications who are comfortable working primarily with Siemens scanners and in a team environment.
