Job Description

Seeking a Chemo Certified Infusion Registered Nurse for day shifts.

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5 days of 8-hour shifts starting at 8 AM
• Occasional weekends may be required

Required Certifications & Licenses

• California RN License
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC only
• ONS Chemo Therapy Immunotherapy Provider Card

Additional certifications may be required depending on the position, such as:

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• CCRN (Critical Care RN)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
• EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Minimum of 1 year of infusion experience, with infusion experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Background & Screening Requirements

• 7-year background check required within 6 months of start
• FACIS Level 3 screening required within 2 weeks of start and monthly thereafter
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required and updated annually
• Education verification required (Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred)
• Sex Offender Search within 90 days of start
• Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids due to CA law)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually (with accommodations for religious exemptions)
• Immunizations and titers required:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • TB screening and annual renewal (negative QGold or TSPOT within 90 days or PPDs)
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella (proof of immunity or vaccination series)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination during flu season (Nov-April) or signed declination with mask requirement
• Respiratory safety clearance required annually

Health & Compliance Documents

• TB Questionnaire within 90 days of start, renewed annually
• Physical exam clearance required
• Drug testing clearance required
• Immunization records and titers as listed above
• Fit mask test and respiratory safety clearance
• Candidate must review and sign various facility-specific policies and conduct documents prior to start

Employment History & References

• Full 7 years of work history required on application with no gaps
• Employment verification for up to 7 years required
• 2 professional references required for clinical positions (within 3 years)
