Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technologist
Location: Charlottesville, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 26 weeks (approximately 6 months)
Shift: 8-hour days, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, with rotating call every 4th week
Work Setting: Imaging support in the Operating Room, working with vascular Interventional Radiology (IR) cases
Travel Radius: 50-mile radius rule applies
Job Description
- Provide imaging support during vascular interventional radiology procedures in the OR.
- This position is for a technologist, not a nurse.
- Clinical review required prior to offer.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Virginia
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist, with experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
Compliance & Documentation
- Proof of identity (government-issued photo ID) required.
- Background checks including EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG within 30 days of start.
- Education verification through official transcripts.
- References: Two clinical references or hospital evaluations required.
- Employment application and skills checklist must be completed.
- Radiation badge: Candidates must have their own radiation badge; new badges are not provided.
Work Environment & Additional Info
- 8-hour shifts with rotating call every 4th week.
- Work within a 50-mile radius of the facility.
- Imaging support in a high-acuity OR setting focused on vascular IR procedures.
