Physical Therapist

Overview

• Contract role in Templeton, California
• Day shift
• 40 hours per week
• Outpatient / rehabilitation setting
• No travel expected

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in California
• Bachelor's degree in physical therapy
• Physical Therapist experience within the last year
• 1 year of Physical Therapist experience
• BLS
• Experience in Supervisor roles

Preferred Qualifications

• Continuing Education courses

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs
• Complete evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries in the Electronic Medical Record
• Guide and monitor patient care throughout treatment and follow-up
• Supervise PT Assistants and Aides in patient care
• Communicate with physicians and other staff to support quality patient care
• Handle patient chart documentation and follow-up related to prescriptions, test results, and authorizations
• Work with front office staff on scheduling and patient follow-up
• Follow HIPAA policy and procedure
• Be familiar with PT billing procedures, including Medicare, work-comp, private, auto, liens, and cash pay
• Use DX and ICD-10 coding for billing
• Participate in business marketing and referral activities when needed
