Physical Therapist

Overview

• Contract role in Bethel, Alaska
• Hospital-based inpatient and outpatient physical therapy clinic
• Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Alaska
• Physical Therapist (4 years of experience)
• Physical Therapist experience within the last year
• BLS
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Physical Therapy

Preferred

• Previous managerial experience

Role Details

• Provides patient care as needed, including skilled physical therapy evaluations and treatment plan development
• Coordinates an orthopedic specialty field clinic, including screening and prioritizing referrals
• Supports medical staff and participates in interdisciplinary team functions
• Promotes team atmosphere and professional development of department staff
• Manages department revenue and expenses
• Handles reports, audits, and tracking measures alongside other clinic demands
• Collaborates with corporate teams to build administrative processes
• Supports compliance with corporate, state, and federal guidelines for physical therapy practice

Environment and Logistics

• Standard physical therapy department environment with hi-lo tables, therapeutic exercise equipment, ultrasound, and electric stimulation modalities
• Village-based work may include a provided treatment table; therapist brings needed patient care items
• Travel is by small, non-pressurized planes
