Medical Laboratory Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLT/MLS) - Night Shift

Location: Lake Geneva, Wisconsin

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced MLT/MLS to perform high complexity laboratory testing in hematology, urinalysis, chemistry, blood bank, or microbiology. The role involves specimen collection, test analysis, quality control, and instrument maintenance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Collect patient specimens and manage sample processing using the Information System.
• Perform lab tests by automated and manual methods according to established policies.
• Analyze and validate test results before release.
• Ensure turnaround times and critical result reporting are met.
• Conduct quality control, proficiency testing, and troubleshoot results.
• Perform preventative maintenance, minor troubleshooting, and calibration of lab instruments.
• Participate in method and instrument evaluation and implementation.
• Assist in teaching and training new staff and students.
• Maintain and develop competency in current and new procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Laboratory Technician with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year.
• Current MLT/MLS Generalist Certification.
• MLT/MLS Specialty Certification in Blood Bank, Chemistry, or Hematology.
• Experience in hematology and blood bank.

• Full-time 40 hours per week, night shift.
• Contract duration approximately 13 weeks.
