Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery

Location: Fort Defiance, Arizona
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour day shift (flexibility required to work other shifts, weekends, and holidays)
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

Provide nursing care in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum rooms, Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI), and babies room-in with moms.
Average patient volume: 40 deliveries per month, including approximately 6 C-sections.
May be required to serve as charge nurse occasionally after completing charge nurse training.
Travelers may be asked to float to other qualified departments, performing patient care or task-oriented duties as needed.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Arizona
Minimum of 5 years recent Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
Experience in Postpartum care
Experience working with Neonate patients and Nursery experience
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Certifications required:
- American Heart Association ACLS
- American Heart Association BLS
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) or RNC-EFM

Additional Information

Prior travel experience is required.
