Unit Information

Unit: SICU (26 beds)
Staff: 15 total (Day shift: 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, 1 Patient Care Tech; Night shift: 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, 1 Patient Care Tech)
Patient Ratios: 1:2; 1:1 for high acuity including post-CABG patients
Equipment: Balloon pumps, CRRT, Hypothermia, ECMO
EMR System: Meditech

Required Certifications & Licenses

Registered Nurse License
BLS
ACLS
NIH Certification

Experience Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN in ICU or specialty area

Preferred Skills

TNCC or ATCN certification preferred

Typical Patient Population & Procedures

Trauma patients
Post-CABG and Post-TAVR patients
General post-surgical ICU patients
Procedures: Chest tubes, central lines, medication drips
