Position Overview

Seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Behavioral Health to join a facility with multiple specialized centers including Brain, Cancer, Heart, Lung, Orthopedics, Surgical Weight Loss, Women’s Center, and a Level 3 NICU. The Behavioral Health unit includes 5 units with varying patient-to-staff ratios and serves an adult patient population.

Unit Details

• Number of Beds: 23, 20, 15, 13, and 10 beds across 5 units
• Patient Ratios:

  • 23 patients: 2 RNs and 4 CNAs
  • 20 patients: 2 RNs and 2 CNAs
  • 15 patients: 1 RN and 2 CNAs
  • 13 patients: 1 RN and 2 CNAs
  • 10 patients: 1 RN and 2 CNAs
• EHR System: Cerner
• Patient Population: Adult Behavioral Health

Common Diagnoses/Treatments

• Schizophrenia
• Dementia
• Manic Bipolar Disorder
• Psychosis
• Dual Diagnosis
• Medical Detox
• Depression and Anxiety Disorders

Requirements

• Licenses: Active Registered Nurse License
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Certification (or willingness to train)
• Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in Behavioral Health specialty
• Call Requirements: None
• Dress Code: Any color scrub

Additional Notes

• Certification with Handle with Care is preferred but training is provided
• No float requirements specified
• No prior travel experience required
