Job Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Telemetry

Location: Farmington, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 26 weeks

Facility & Unit Overview

Level II Trauma Center
43-bed Medical Unit
Patient Ratios: 1:5 and 1:6
EHR System: Cerner
Equipment: VS machine, bladder scanner, IV pumps, thermal imaging, lifts, tube feeding pumps
Shift: Days (7 AM - 7 PM)
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours
Weekend Requirement: At least 2 weekend shifts per month recommended
Call Requirements: None
Float Requirements: As per facility needs

Patient Population & Common Diagnoses

Adults (18 years and older)
Common conditions: cirrhosis, sepsis, pneumonia, respiratory illnesses, wounds, congestive heart failure (CHF)

Required Qualifications

Discipline: Registered Nurse (RN)
Specialty: Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg)
Education: ADN (Associate Degree in Nursing) required
Experience: Minimum 2 years in Med/Surg specialty (preferred 2 years; higher value used)
Certifications: BLS (must be AHA certified)
Skills: Med/Surg experience preferred
Preferred but not required: Charge nurse experience, oncology skills

Additional Information

Block scheduling considered on a case-by-case basis
Must have at least a 3.2 overall rating on skills checklist
No prior travel experience explicitly required
