Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment. The position involves working in a Level III Trauma hospital with a 24-bed LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) unit. The role includes managing a 3-couplet assignment and providing care for neonates and adults.

Shift Details

• Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (3x12-hour shifts)
• Rotating shifts with self-scheduling
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
• Call requirements: Yes

Unit & Patient Population

• Unit: LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum)
• Number of beds: 24
• Patient ratios: 1:6 (census varies from 3 to 24 patients)
• Patient population: Neonates and adults
• Equipment used: External Fetal Monitoring (EFM), IV pumps
• Electronic Health Records: Cerner, Powerchart, Omnicell Med System

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maine
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, including LDRP and Postpartum care
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• Certifications:

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Preferred Qualifications

• AWHONN Intermediate certification (preferred, not required)
• Experience with Level 1 Nursery, Mother/Baby care, and circulating for C-sections

Additional Information

• No first-time travelers accepted for this assignment
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
• Float requirements: None
