Role involves first and second scrub surgical technologist duties during heart surgical procedures.
Must understand and anticipate surgeon needs, maintain sterile field, and assist with tasks such as sponging, suctioning, cutting sutures, holding retractors, and manipulating the endoscopic camera.
Procedures performed include cardiac, general, vascular, neuro, spine, trauma, orthopedic, burn, ENT, transplant, and robotic surgeries.
Experience required with cardiac surgeries including coronary artery bypass, valve replacements, and Da Vinci-assisted thoracoscopy.

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience, including recent OR experience within the last year
Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA), or TS-C certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Surgical scrubs provided as uniform.
The unit is equipped with advanced technology and supports a variety of complex surgical procedures.
Candidates should be prepared for a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with opportunities to work alongside experienced staff.
