Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer Travel Position
Location: Austin, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer for a fetal testing center. This is a day-shift travel assignment with no call or weekend requirements.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (or last patient seen)
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (or last patient seen)
- Approximately 36 hours per week
Unit Details
- Unit Type: Fetal Testing Center
- Number of Exam Rooms: 6
- Staff on Day Shift: 2 RNs, 4-5 Sonographers, 2 Patient Care Technicians, 2 Office Staff
- Night Shift: None
- Equipment Used: GE Voluson 22 and GE Voluson E10 ultrasound machines
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Meditech, Viewpoint, Sectra
- Permanent positions available on unit
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonography experience, including experience within the last year
- Certification: ARRT(S) or ARDMS in ultrasound
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
- Experience working with High Risk patients
- Experience with fetal echocardiography and proficiency imaging fetal cardiac structures
Preferred Qualifications
- Fetal Echo Registry certification
Typical Procedures Performed
- Fetal anatomy scans
- Biophysical profiles (BPP)
- Doppler studies
- Fetal echocardiograms
- First trimester nuchal translucency screening
- Amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling (CVS) assistance
