Assignment Overview

Travel assignment in Idaho Falls, Idaho
13 weeks
36 hours per week
Shift: 7:00AM-5:30PM
Scheduled night and weekend call
Unit: Echo Cost Center 750

Required Qualifications

Echo Technologist (2 years of experience)
Echo Technologist experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
Echo Tech Certification
ARDMS or ARRT
Accredited course in echocardiography or 2 years of experience

Unit Details

Patients are primarily being treated for cardiac problems
Testing is performed using ultrasound
Patient acuity can be high
Patient ages range from neonatal to geriatric
Exposure to body fluids and blood is always present
The area can be very stressful due to the stat nature of procedures

Pros

Management is willing to work with RTO pretty easily. GE machines are easy to use and proximity of ER with CT is set up nicely.

Cons

Communication with management is sometimes awful. Especially with contract extensions. HR also did not pay me for a day due to a missed punch. Instead of contacting me about issues, they just didnt pay me and it took two months to resolve that missing pay.
