Trauma/Ortho/Surgical RN

Overview

• Travel assignment in Johnstown, Pennsylvania
• 13 weeks
• Rapid start: must start by 10/26
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
• Will accommodate 48 hours/week upon request
• Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule, with at least 2 of those weekends expected to be scheduled
• No call required
• Must be willing to float to a unit with a comparable patient population
• 9th floor
• Trauma Level 1
• 44 beds across two nursing stations/units
• Patient ratio: 6:1
• Adult patient population with trauma, ortho, urology, colorectal, and surgical cases
• Common diagnosis/treatment: post-op

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Med Surg (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• Trauma experience
• BLS
• Must pass a dysrhythmia test and a math of dosage test before being on the unit
• Complete and clear screenings before start
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
• Department of Human Services fingerprinting
• FBI Department of Aging fingerprinting
• PA State Police clearance
• Fingerprints must be submitted/uploaded before clearance
• Volunteer clearances are not accepted

Preferred

• Flexible, friendly, and willing to work

Additional Notes

• EPIC is used on the unit
• Professional appearance is required
• No facial piercings other than a one-sided nose stud; hoops are not allowed on the face
