<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Days, 3x12hrs</li><li>Hours: 36 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Sep 8, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Cardiac Telemetry Float Pool position requiring 18 months of true tele/cardiac experience and prior travel nursing experience</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Cardiac Telemetry float pool unit within a hospital setting</li><li>Cares for cardiac telemetry patients including pre/post cardiac cath, post cardiac angiogram, post MI, and pre/post cardiac surgery cases</li><li>Duties include titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips and managing sheaths</li><li>Uses Cerner EMR system</li><li>Day shift schedule: 3x12 hours, 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM</li><li>Every other weekend required</li><li>Must be willing to float to all competent units within the facility</li><li>Must be willing to care for COVID-positive patients</li><li>13-week assignment length</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Active MO RN license or Compact license required</li><li>Minimum 18 months of true telemetry/cardiac experience required</li><li>Community hospital experience required</li><li>Trauma Level II experience required</li><li>Prior travel nursing experience required</li><li>Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), CPI, and NIHSS</li><li>TNCC certification preferred</li><li>Cerner charting experience required</li><li>Must pass onsite EKG exam with 80% or higher on lethal rhythm interpretation during orientation</li><li>Must complete 8 cardiac and 8 stroke CEUs</li><li>At least one professional reference required for consideration</li><li>Copies of certifications required for consideration</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Provide cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response including Rapid Response/Code team activation</li><li>Manage IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and peripheral/PICC line care</li><li>Perform respiratory support including BiPAP/CPAP management, high flow nasal cannula, and oxygen administration</li><li>Manage heparin protocols and IV insulin/insulin drip titration</li><li>Provide wound care and wound vac management, and maintain isolation precautions/PPE</li><li>Support renal patients including pre/post hemodialysis management</li><li>Navy blue scrubs required</li><li>No block scheduling included in contract</li><li>Requested time off will not be approved after submission</li><li>Locals accepted at the same rate with no radius restriction</li><li>Previous employees must have a break in service of at least 1 year before returning</li><li>First-time travelers will not be considered for this position</li><li>Completion of facility HealthStream education modules required prior to start, averaging 8 hours and non-billable</li></ul>
