ER RN Travel Contract
Overview
- Travel/contract RN role in Los Angeles, California
- 13-week assignment
- Day or evening 3x12 schedule
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend coverage required
- No call
- Self-scheduling
- Patient population: neonates through geriatrics
- Scrubs: royal blue
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- Experience working with Level 2 Trauma patients
Required Certifications
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or RQI
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or RQI
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or RQI
- NIHSS
- MAB or CPI with a physical, in-person portion
Clinical Expectations
- Perform own phlebotomy, start IVs, and obtain EKGs
- Transport and remain with patients in procedural areas, CT, IR, and MRI
Additional Notes
- Charting system: Allscripts
- RTO must be submitted with the application
- No RTO during the first 2 weeks
- Maximum of 3 days RTO
- One holiday RTO may be requested but is not guaranteed
