Job Opportunity: Electrophysiology Tech

Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 12 weeks


Job Details

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
  • Weekend Schedule: Every Other Weekend
  • Call: None
  • Floating: Within facility/scope of practice as needed
  • Minimum Experience: 1 year (Unit accepts first-time travelers)
  • Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days
  • Holiday Work: If 1 major holiday falls during assignment, expected to work it; if 2, expected to work both; if 3, expected to work 2 of the holidays.
  • Major Holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day
  • Some days may require staying late

Required Qualifications

  • Electrophysiology Technician with at least 1 year of experience within the last year

Compliance & Screening

  • Full compliance with all credentialing and onboarding requirements is mandatory to start on time
  • Clinical screening will be conducted to determine clinical fit before final approval
  • Background check required within 30 days of start, including education verification and criminal history
  • Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start, no pending results allowed
  • Physical exam required within 12 months of start
  • Annual Nursys verification (if applicable) within 30 days prior to start
  • Color Blind Testing required
  • Competency exams required for nursing and allied health professionals (including Dysrhythmia/EKG competency for relevant specialties)

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months of start (with additional requirements if past positive)
  • TB Questionnaire updated annually
  • Immunizations or proof of immunity required for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Varicella
    • Hepatitis B (titer or signed declination)
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (highly recommended)
  • Flu vaccine or declination required during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31)

Additional Requirements

  • Skills checklist updated within 12 months
  • Verification of most recent work history required (can be pending at start with proof it is in process)
  • Two clinical references required
  • Candidate must review and sign facility-specific Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance policies prior to start

Notes

  • Locals accepted at the same rate
  • Number of non-billable orientation hours depends on contract length (e.g., 12 hours for 12-week assignment)
  • Prior travel experience is NOT required for this position

This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic Electrophysiology Tech role within a well-established healthcare system in Atlanta, GA. The assignment is 12 weeks long with every other weekend schedule and no on-call requirements.
