Job Details

Required Experience

• Years of Experience: 2 years preferred (1-2 years minimum)

Required Certifications & Licenses

• License: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Missouri (pending licenses accepted)
• Certifications:

  • BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) – Required
  • NIH Stroke Certification – Required
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – May be required depending on unit
  • Other certifications may be required based on unit (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC) – verify with unit specifics

Compliance & Background Requirements

• Government-issued ID required
• Criminal background check within 6 months, including statewide and nationwide searches
• Quarterly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
• Education verification of highest nursing degree required
• Fingerprinting required for assignments in Illinois long-term care or rehab units (not required for Missouri)
• Drug testing within 1 year of start, must include specific panels and be valid throughout assignment
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask testing (N95) required and must be renewed annually
• Immunizations and health screenings required:

  • Tdap vaccine or declination
  • Negative TB test or equivalent within 1 year
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination/declination
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
• Annual HIPAA acknowledgement, latex allergy questionnaire, confidentiality form, and regulatory compliance education required
• Facility-specific policies on hand hygiene, fingernail, and dress code must be reviewed and signed prior to start

Additional Requirements

• Two professional references required (supervisors preferred)
• Unit-specific competency exams and skills checklists required, including oncology competency if applicable
• Employment application must be completed and uploaded
• Badge photo required (head and shoulders, white background, no obstructions, taken within 6 months)
• Completion of facility orientation modules through online platform (approx. 16 hours) required for RNs
