Job Opportunity: Case Manager Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Annapolis, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- 2 years current and strong Case Manager RN experience in a hospital setting required
- Work across various patient units including Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, Orthopedics, and Neurology (No Pediatrics or OB/GYN)
- Typical caseload: 25-30 patients
- Focus on discharge planning (no utilization review)
- Local candidates considered same as travel
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland
- Minimum 2 years of Case Management experience, including experience within the last year
- Acute hospital case management experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification or competency
- Experience with discharge planning
Health & Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit test with N95 mask within past 12 months (on-site fit testing not available)
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years or acceptable alternative documentation
- Negative TB test (Qgold or Tspot) within past 12 months; chest x-ray if positive TB history
- TB questionnaire completed prior to start and updated annually
- MMR vaccines or positive titers for Rubeola, Mumps, and Rubella
- Hepatitis B series, positive titer, or signed declination
- Varicella vaccines or positive titer
- Negative 9-panel drug screen (excluding marijuana) within 30 days of start
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct-Mar)
Additional Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within the past year and updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
- References from 2 supervisors or above within 2 years of start (charge person references may be accepted temporarily)
- Complete employment application and skills checklist updated annually
