Job Details

• Unit size ranges from 20 to 34 beds depending on the unit.
• Typical patient ratio is 1:6.
• Dress code: Personal scrubs of any color.
• Orientation: 8 hours non-billable.
• Holiday and overtime multipliers apply at 1.25%.
• 36-hour guaranteed time is NOT available; traveler must be pre-closed on a 48-hour guaranteed time before profile upload.
• Block scheduling is not considered.
• Travelers must be willing to float to any Medical Surgical unit.
• Traveler must have their own vehicle for this assignment.
• Requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted and verified at profile upload; no more than 5 days of RTO allowed, and requests after upload or during interview will not be approved.
• Travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility will NOT be considered. Permanent address must be included in the profile.
• Profiles must include at least two specific interview dates/times; "anytime" availability is not accepted.
• Travelers must have voicemail set up on their phones for facility contact.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts.
• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical and Telemetry nursing experience, with experience within the last year.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Meditech Expanse electronic health record system is highly preferred.
