Occupational Therapy Assistant

Required Qualifications

• Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in Oklahoma
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (1 year of experience)
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience within the last year
• Experience in a Long Term Care setting
• Experience in a Rehabilitation setting

Role Summary

• Provide rehabilitative treatment under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Perform interventions such as ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive or assistive devices
• Monitor patient progress, document treatment information, and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist and care team
• Participate in required meetings, trainings, in-services, and conferences
• Support discharge planning and assist with DME or supplies as needed
• Supervise and support students under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist

Practice Expectations

• Follow NBCOT, AOTA, and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics
• Use evidence-based practice and maintain patient records according to policy
