Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health – Adult (Days)

Location: Pittsfield, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Position is on a detox unit specializing in substance abuse treatment.
• Substance abuse experience is required; general behavioral health experience alone will not be considered.
• Unit size: 20 beds
• Shift: 8-hour day shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
• Dress code: Personal scrubs of any color
• Orientation: 8 hours non-billable
• Call-back, holiday, and overtime pay multipliers apply

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Massachusetts
• Minimum 2 years of current substance abuse nursing experience
• Minimum 2 years of behavioral health experience, with behavioral health experience within the last year
• At least 6 months of total travel nursing experience
• Active BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Valid Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Experience with Meditech Expanse electronic health record system

Additional Information

• No accommodations for 10- or 12-hour shifts; only 8-hour shifts available
• Facility provides comprehensive mental health and substance abuse services with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, clinical nurse specialists, psychologists, social workers, and nurses
• The facility is a teaching hospital with a strong reputation for patient safety and clinical excellence
• The detox unit is part of a larger behavioral health program offering inpatient and outpatient services
