Job Opportunity: RN Oncology - Travel Position
Location: Cleveland, Ohio

Job Description
- 12-hour night shifts only
- Care for a complex medical oncology population
- Step-down unit experience highly preferred
- ACLS certification required
- Interpretation of cardiac arrhythmias required
- Expertise in chemotherapy administration and monitoring side effects
- High-level respiratory care skills required (trachs, chest tubes, Airvo, CPAP/BiPAP)
- Ability to identify rapidly changing patient conditions and multitask in critical situations
- Experience with end-of-life care/hospice
Required Certifications & Credentials
- Oncology Certified Nurse (ONCC)
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- Valid permanent RN license (no temporary licenses accepted)
- MMR immunity (positive titers within last 15 years or appropriate boosters)
- Varicella immunity (positive titers within last 15 years or appropriate boosters)
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
- Tdap vaccination within past 10 years (no declinations accepted)
- 2-Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/TSPOT) within last 6 months (annual requirement)
- Fit Test completed within 1 year prior to start
- Physical exam within 1 year prior to start confirming ability to work without restrictions
- Drug screen within 60 days prior to start (10-panel, no instant screens)
Required Professional Verifications & Checks
- Primary source verification of professional license and certifications within 30 days of start
- Ohio fingerprints and criminal background checks compliant with FCRA (depending on residency duration)
- UHS I-9 attestation confirming eligibility to work
- Employment verification for the last 5 years through third-party verification
- Education verification (including equivalency for international education)
- Criminal background check within 6 months prior to start (includes SSN trace, county searches, national criminal sweep)
- OIG, SAM/EPLS/GSA/OFAC federal exclusion checks within 6 months prior to start
- Social Security trace and National Database Criminal background check (for Ohio residents)
- UHS NSO and Social Security Trace if not included in background check
Required Competency & Training
- UHS Competency Exam (minimum 80% score, within 1 year prior to start)
- UHS Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission-NPSG, OSHA topics; minimum 80% score)
- UHS Skills Checklist (clinical skills specific, within 1 year prior to start)
- Completion of UHS Safety and Compliance Training modules prior to clearance
- Submission of UHS Badge Photo (headshot, shoulders up, plain background, JPEG)
Additional Health Requirements
- Influenza vaccine proof or approved medical/religious exemption (preferred, not required)
- Positive PPD requires negative chest X-ray within 5 years and annual TB questionnaire
- Annual negative PPD if 2-step not done within past year

This position requires a highly skilled oncology RN with strong critical care and respiratory expertise, ready to work night shifts in a fast-paced oncology step-down environment. Compliance with all credentialing, health, and background requirements is mandatory for onboarding.
