Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT Tech) - Long-Term Assignment

Location: Albany, New York
Shift: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (also possible 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Travel: No local travelers; must live within a 50-mile radius of the facility
Department: Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Description

Scrub, monitor, and circulate during cardiac and vascular procedures
On-call required: one night per week and one weekend per month

Required Qualifications

Valid Cardiovascular Technologist license in New York
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cardiovascular Technologist, including experience within the last year
American Heart Association BLS certification required
Must provide license/certification verification dated within 30 days of start

Health and Compliance Requirements

COVID-19 vaccine booster proof required by September 2025 (or approved declination/exemption with agency letterhead)
MMR vaccination proof (2 doses or IgG titer) required
Fit test for N95 mask (specific to location requirements)
Hepatitis B vaccination series must be started prior to start date (titers not accepted)
Influenza vaccine is optional but recommended
Tuberculosis screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA required; positive TB requires chest x-ray within last year or 5 years depending on region
Varicella vaccination proof or IgG titer required
Physical/health statement confirming fitness to work within the last year
10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC)

Professional and Background Requirements

Resume and skills checklist within the past year
Two professional references
Signed confidentiality, conflict of interest, code of conduct, and integrity/audit forms
Federal, nationwide, and county criminal background check covering last 7 years, including SSN verification, dated within 30 days of start
Education verification of highest academic degree or diploma/GED
EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) and OIG (Office of Inspector General) exclusion checks dated within 30 days
National Sex Offender Registry check dated within 30 days
System access form completed and uploaded one week before start
Standard I-9 verification completed by agency

This position requires on-call availability as specified
Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local travelers accepted
