12-hour shifts
Day shift
36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Idaho
Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Labor and Delivery (3 years of experience)
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS
NRP
AWHONN
STABLE Certification
Pre-term labor experience
C-section and recovery experience
High-risk patient care experience

Unit Details

Labor & Delivery unit with antepartum, triage, postpartum, and OR support
Charge nurse does not usually take an assignment unless staffing is critically short
CSTs are present each shift
OB laborist and neonatal coverage are available 24/7
CRNA coverage is available 24/7
No call requirement

Responsibilities

Circulate in the OR
Titrate Pitocin and insulin
Provide initial neonatal resuscitation until NICU arrives

Floating

May float to antepartum
May float to nearby hospitals for staffing support

Orientation

1 shift in each area: Labor & Delivery, Antepartum, and Labor & Delivery OR

Additional Notes

Scrubs are provided
Uses AWHONN guidelines for ratios
