Labor and Delivery RN
Location
Boise, Idaho
Contract Length
13 weeks
Schedule
- 12-hour shifts
- Day shift
- 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Idaho
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Labor and Delivery (3 years of experience)
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- NRP
- AWHONN
- STABLE Certification
- Pre-term labor experience
- C-section and recovery experience
- High-risk patient care experience
Unit Details
- Labor & Delivery unit with antepartum, triage, postpartum, and OR support
- Charge nurse does not usually take an assignment unless staffing is critically short
- CSTs are present each shift
- OB laborist and neonatal coverage are available 24/7
- CRNA coverage is available 24/7
- No call requirement
Responsibilities
- Circulate in the OR
- Titrate Pitocin and insulin
- Provide initial neonatal resuscitation until NICU arrives
Floating
- May float to antepartum
- May float to nearby hospitals for staffing support
Orientation
- 1 shift in each area: Labor & Delivery, Antepartum, and Labor & Delivery OR
Additional Notes
- Scrubs are provided
- Uses AWHONN guidelines for ratios
