Med Surg RN

Location

  • Papillion, Nebraska

Shift

  • Nights
  • 12-hour shifts
  • 36 hours per week

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Nebraska
  • Med Surg (1 year of experience)
  • Med Surg experience within the last year
  • BLS
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Driver's License

Schedule / Assignment Details

  • Floating may include ER for 1:1 sitting
  • Weekend and holiday needs vary
  • No block scheduling
  • 7 or fewer days of requested time off allowed upfront for the full contract

Unit / Patient Population

  • Medical-surgical unit
  • Adult and geriatric patients
  • 28 beds
  • Day ratio: 1:4
  • Night ratio: 1:5

Team / Support

  • Charge nurse on each shift
  • Nurse aides/patient care techs on the unit

Orientation

  • Classroom orientation plus one 12-hour shift on the floor

Additional Notes

  • Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas
  • Candidates must not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity
  • Radius rule: 50 miles
