Operating Room Registered Nurse

Overview

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New York
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
OR - Operating Room (1 year of experience)
OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
BLS

Preferred Qualifications

ACLS preferred
Preceptorship, charge, and leadership abilities preferred for experienced RNs

Role Details

May be required to assume duties as a charge nurse
Experience should include knowledge of nursing principles, patient assessment, safety practices, use of lifts, working in stressful situations, problem-solving, prioritization, delegation, interpersonal communication, organization, and written/verbal communication
Knowledge of typical clinical equipment and instrumentation used in a safe and/or aseptic OR/ASU environment
Lethal dysrhythmia interpretation skills
