Unit Profile

Number of Beds: 49
Patient Ratios: 1:5
Staffing: 1 Unit Secretary, 5 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) on days, 3 PCTs on nights
Equipment: Welch Allen / Dynamap VS machines, bladder scanner, Hoyer lift, Sara Steady, wound vacs
Documentation System: Meditech
Scheduling: 12-hour shifts, including 3 weekend shifts within a 4-week schedule period
Floating Policy: Follows facility policy
Patient Experience: Emphasis on personal connections, AIDET communication, bedside shift report, hourly rounding

Required Qualifications

Licenses: Missouri RN license
Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support)
Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty
Procedures Performed on Unit: IVs, Foley catheters, external urinary catheters, wound care, post-op care, trach care, NG tubes, feeding tubes

Dress Code

Navy blue scrub top
Navy or black scrub pants
Undershirt and/or scrub jacket (if worn) must be navy, white, or black
No sweatshirts or track jackets allowed
