Location: Marquette, Michigan
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Work in a 225-bed specialty care hospital with departments including Heart & Vascular, Cancer Center, Brain & Spine, Rehab, Behavioral Health, Digestive Health, Bariatric Medicine & Weight Management, Women's Health, and Pediatrics.
Facility offers premier imaging, surgery, and laboratory services.
Located in the central region of Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

Position Details

Department: Acute Medical/Surgical
Shift: 7 PM – 7 AM
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Hours: Rotating
Patient Population: Adult and geriatric (ages 18 - 125)
Patient Ratios: 5:1 to 6:1
Equipment: Telemetry monitors, Baxter IV pumps, Kangaroo pump, Bladder scanner, Dynamaps
Electronic Health Record (EHR) system: Cerner
Float Requirements: Occasional to similar units
Dress Code: Galaxy Blue scrubs (navy also acceptable); fingernails must be clean and short per Hand Hygiene Policy; tattoos must be covered; excessive jewelry not allowed

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience, including experience within the last year
ACLS certification
BLS certification
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Additional Information

Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to be considered for this travel position.
Preferred experience on a medical/surgical unit.
