RN-GI Procedures

Overview

• Location: Chapel Hill, North Carolina
• Setting: Hospital
• Schedule: Days, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• License: Valid RN license in North Carolina
• Experience: GI Lab experience, including 1 year of experience within the last year
• Education: Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Certification: BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN or MSN from an accredited school of Nursing
• 2 years experience needed if outpatient
• 1 year experience if med/surge

Role Details

• Provides competent clinical nursing care and coordinates/delivers patient care using the nursing process
• Care includes a mix of pre-op, post-op, burn, wound, GI acute care, and plastics
• Performs bedside point of care testing as required for the patient care plan
• Supports patient education, assessment, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary care coordination
