Experience Requirements

• Years of Experience Required: 1 year (unless first-time traveler); prefers 2 years in acute care
• First-timers Accepted: Yes, with at least 2 years of experience as an RN

Certifications Required

• AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
• CPR
• Colorado or Compact RN License
• Epic Experience Required

Patient Care Details

• Total Staffed Beds: 28
• Patient Ratios: 1:5 days; 1:6 nights
• Patient Population: General med-surge patients, neurosurgical, back surgery patients, orthopedic patients (hips, knees, shoulders)
• Charting System: Epic
• Floating Requirement: Yes, to all med-surge units

Special Requirements

• Scrub Color: Navy
• On-call Requirement: No

Additional Information

• Health Documents Required:

  • Physical Exam (within 1 year)
  • Fit Mask Test (within 12 months)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB or Chest X-Ray (within 1 year)
  • Vaccination documentation for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
  • Drug Testing (within 30 days)
  • Flu Seasonal Vaccination (annually)

• Background Check: Required within 60 days of start

• References: 2 references from the last two years, including one from employment within the last year
