Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Camden, Arkansas
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (3x12s)
• Day shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Every other week (EOW) schedule, holidays as needed

Requirements

• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - required
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - required
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - required
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - preferred
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - preferred
• Experience:

  • Emergency Department (ED) experience required
  • STEMI/Stroke facility experience required
  • Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• Electronic Medical Record: MedHost experience required

Patient Population & Unit Details

• Common patient diagnoses: CHF, Pneumonia, Psychiatric conditions, UTI, Hypertension, DKA, CVA, MI
• Unit: Trauma Communication, AR Saves program
• Standard nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:3

Equipment Used

• Ranger Blood/Fluid Warmer
• Bair Hugger
• Blanket Warmer
• Baxter Spectrum IV pumps

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Proof of I9 or Attestation
• Government issued photo ID (must be carried during shifts)
• Proof of E-Verify or Attestation
• Residency Declaration Form (if working on a compact license)
• Background Checks:

  • 7-year criminal background check (all locations lived/worked in past 7 years)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
  • HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
  • State-specific AR criminal search required for all travelers
• Highest level of educational diploma required
• State License verification and NURSYS verification (for RNs)
• Competency exams including medication/pharmacology test as applicable
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (HIPAA compliance)
• Physical exam (initial and annual) confirming ability to meet physical demands
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Immunizations or titers required:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
  • Varicella
• Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within last 12 months (instant acceptable)
• Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season or mask required if declined
• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
• Completed employment application/resume
• Skills checklist updated annually for applicable unit
• Performance and internal evaluations if previously worked with the system
