Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (IMC) - Vermont
Location
- Burlington, Vermont

Contract Length
- 16 weeks
Unit / Specialty
- Progressive Care Unit - Telemetry (PCU-TELE RN), Miller 4
- Intermediate Care (IMC)
- Cardiology focus: experience with post cath, STEMIs, and structural heart patients
Schedule
- Every other weekend
- Monday to Sunday shifts
- No block schedules allowed
- Floating required (travelers float first) to Medical/Surgical or other Progressive Care areas
- Bi-weekly orientations on Mondays
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- Experience in a large and teaching facility required
- EPIC electronic medical record experience within the past 2 years (non-negotiable)
- Prior travel experience preferred (not required)
Required Certifications and Licenses
- Current RN license (state-specific)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA certified
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA certified
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification required prior to start
Additional Requirements
- Must be willing and able to float within the Central Pool PCU
- Flexible scheduling required
- Reliable personal transportation strongly recommended (public transportation not accessible)
- Vehicles should have all-season or snow tires during November – April
Required Documentation and Compliance
- Complete and detailed work history including bed count, EMR, and facility type
- Explanation for any employment gaps over 30 days
- Background check within 30 days of start covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
- Education verification as applicable
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam
- Color blindness testing
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- N95 Fit Test prior to assignment and annually
- Immunizations and titers: Tdap, MMR (Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, Hepatitis B (or declination), Flu seasonal vaccination or exemption (seasonal requirements apply)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within past 12 months
- COVID-19 vaccination or declination
- Pneumonia vaccination or declination if assigned to NY facility
- Professional references: 2 verified from assignments within last 3 years
- Skills checklist within 12 months
- Work history verification for last 2 years
- Completion of EPIC and Cornerstone modules prior to start
Orientation and Onboarding
- Orientation sessions held bi-weekly on Mondays
- Must complete all required modules and documentation prior to start date
