Experience Requirements

Compliance & Background Checks
- 10-year criminal background check required within 30 days of start
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
- Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal History Check required within 30 days prior to start
- Texas Employee Misconduct Registry and Employability Status Checks required within 30 days prior to start
- Background checks must be renewed annually for travel candidates
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start (must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months of start
- Immunizations or positive titers required for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- Flu vaccination or agency declination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
- Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start; additional onsite drug screen upon arrival
- N95 Fit Mask test within 1 year of start (PAPR not accepted)
Documentation & Other Requirements
- I9 or attestation
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- E-Verify or attestation
- Transcript/Diploma verification (required for Labor & Delivery)
- Highest level of education verification (required for cath lab and CVOR)
- State license verification within 30 days of start
- NURSYS verification for RN license within 30 days of start
- Skills checklist and competency exams required and must be updated annually
- Confidentiality and security agreement, drug screening consent, TB questionnaire, and compliance checklist must be reviewed and signed prior to start
This position requires a well-rounded RN with certifications in NIHSS, BLS, ACLS, and NRP, capable of rotating through multiple labor and delivery-related areas. Compliance with extensive background checks, health screenings, and documentation is mandatory. The contract is approximately 16 weeks in length, with a minimum commitment of 13 weeks.
