Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Telemetry - Boarding RN)

Position Details

Experience & Requirements

• Years of Experience Required: 2 years in specialty
• First-time Travelers: Accepted
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required
• Locals Accepted: No, must live at least 50 miles away from the facility
• Pending License: Accepted if active by start date
• EKG Test: Must pass an on-site EKG exam prior to application review

Certifications Required

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only

Preferred Certifications:

• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

Additional Staffing Details

• 2 RNs needed with critical care experience
• 6 RNs need to be telemetry-trained

Background & Health Requirements

• Background check required within 90 days of start, covering last 7 years and all states lived/worked in
• Education verification or copy of diploma/transcripts required
• Physical exam required
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (T-Spots not accepted)
• TB questionnaire required prior to start and annually thereafter
• Immunizations or titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
  • Varicella
• Negative 12-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (includes amphetamines, cannabinoids, MDMA, methamphetamines, buprenorphine, oxycodone, fentanyl, cocaine, methadone, tramadol, benzodiazepines, morphine/opiate)
• Flu vaccine required prior to start or approved medical/religious exemption (documentation required by 12/15)

Facility Specific Requirements

• COVID-19 vaccine required unless medical or religious exemption is approved
• Completion of facility-specific modules (approx. 8-10 hours) prior to start
• Submission of a clear, passport-style photo for badge
• Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement must be signed prior to start

Notes

• Candidates must be prepared to complete an on-site EKG exam covering cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmia identification
• Modules must be completed by 1 PM CST Friday prior to start
• Returning candidates within the past year may be exempt from new modules
• Holiday and weekend rotations apply as noted

This position is ideal for RNs with telemetry experience looking for a night shift travel assignment in Indiana with a 13-week contract. First-time travelers are welcome, and the role requires passing an EKG test and holding current ACLS and BLS certifications.
