Medical Technologist - Travel/Contract
Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (5x8 hours), 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Hours per Week: 40
Job Summary
Seeking a Medical Technologist for a travel/contract assignment. The role involves working in a laboratory setting with day shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Technologist, with recent experience within the last year.
- Experience as an MRI Technologist.
- Experience as a Polysomnographer.
Onboarding and Compliance
- Competency Exams: Unit-specific competency exam required within 12 months of start and updated annually.
- Orientation and Training:
- Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start is mandatory. Modules must be completed on a computer using Google Chrome; video content must be watched before testing.
- Badge photo required prior to start for clearance. Badge pickup procedures vary by specialty.
- Documentation:
- Government-issued photo ID (driver’s license or state ID) must be carried on assignment.
- All documents must be current and uploaded with appropriate expiration dates.
Additional Notes
- Fingerprinting results and background checks must be current and compliant before starting or extending the assignment.
- Travelers with breaks in service of 2 or more months must update background checks.
- Travelers returning to the facility after a break longer than 6 months may need to repeat onboarding modules.
- Legal name must be consistent across all systems and documentation.
This position requires strict adherence to all health, safety, and compliance protocols to ensure readiness for assignment start.

Pros
Excellent management support. Most units are not large. Lots of stuff and even when they are short staff they do their best to help. It's been very comfortable and you never feel like you're dealing with issues on your own. They're always checking on you to make sure everything's good and if you need help or not.
Cons
Every unit is different for scheduling my unit does not offer self-scheduling for travelers. My schedule isn't terrible either. To get specific days off you have to request them ahead of time and they may give them to you. Our schedule is done every month and a half though so you really need to know ahead of time what day is your interested in having off or changed. Everything else seems good no complaints.
