Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech

Location: Pinehurst, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Immediate start available
  • Work schedule options:
    • Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
    • Saturday, Sunday, Monday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Candidates must not reside in Moore County

Required Qualifications

  • Certification: NMTCB-CNMT or ARRT (N) and NMTCB-PET
  • Government-issued photo ID required and must be carried during work hours
  • Background check within 1 year covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
  • Required certifications (based on specialty/unit):
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – if applicable
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • Other certifications may be required or preferred depending on unit (e.g., PALS, NRP)
  • State license verification (primary source) matching legal name
  • NPI Number must be provided and verified prior to start
  • Color Blind Testing required for all candidates
  • Competency exams as applicable (e.g., Medication Test/Pharmacology, Dysrhythmia/EKG)
  • Two clinical references required (one from supervisor or higher)
  • Complete employment application/resume
  • Annual skills checklist

Health and Safety Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year (to meet standard, not facility-mandated)
  • Immunizations/vaccinations:
    • Tdap within 10 years
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (annual updates required)
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (boosters if no prior records)
    • Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination
  • 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (includes marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine, opiates, and others)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (mask required if exempt)

Additional Notes

  • Modules related to orientation and safety must be completed prior to or shortly after start date
  • Background checks include social security trace, county, nationwide, sex offender, and international if applicable
  • Some certifications and training may be completed onsite with approval
