Medical Surgical Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract

Location: Cartersville, Georgia
Shift: Day Shift (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
Contract Length: 8 weeks


Unit Details

  • Weekend schedule: Every other weekend
  • No call required
  • Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed (may include CNA/Tech role)
  • No block schedule requests allowed
  • Holidays: If 1 major holiday falls during assignment, traveler must work it; if 2 holidays, must work both; if 3 holidays, must work 2
  • Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day
  • Locals accepted at same rate
  • Orientation hours vary by contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment)
  • Full compliance required to start on time; delays in compliance may push start date by 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule
  • Manager reviews candidate profile within 48 hours of confirmation to determine fit

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
  • Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
  • Medical Surgical nursing experience within the last year
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

  • Prior travel experience is not required; first-time travelers accepted
  • Floating may include CNA/Tech duties within scope of practice
  • No call responsibilities
  • Compliance with facility dress and professional appearance policies required
  • Candidate must review and sign facility code of conduct prior to start
