ICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Columbia, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

Work in a 14-bed Trauma/Surgical ICU caring for Level I trauma patients, complex and critical general surgery patients, and post-op vascular surgery patients.
Utilize advanced hemodynamic monitoring, extensive wound management, and occasionally perform bedside procedures including bedside OR.
Night shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM), totaling 36 hours/week.
Must work at least 50% of holidays during the contract; no time off granted for holidays but scheduling flexibility is available.
Rotating shifts, holiday work, and work during inclement weather required.
Position requires physical activity including ambulating, reaching, and moving objects over 20 lbs.
Exposure to patients with contagious illnesses is routine.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri.
Minimum 2 years of Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Unit (STICU) experience, with at least some experience within the last year.
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
