Perfusionist Travel/Contract Job in Florence, South Carolina

Position Overview

• Operate heart/lung machines supporting organ function during cardiac surgery or procedures disrupting circulatory/respiratory function.
• Equipment used includes heart/lung machine, Quest, Autotransfusion, Cardiohelp, Impella, IABP, and other standard perfusion equipment.
• Procedures performed: CABG, vascular, neuro, and any case with potential major blood loss.
• Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM).
• On-call required: Monday 3:00 AM until the following Monday 7:00 AM.
• No floating between service lines or sister facilities.
• Local radius: 60 miles; local travelers not accepted.

Contract Details

• Contract length: 13 weeks.
• Guaranteed hours: Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks; called-off hours can be broken down but total no more than 1 shift.
• Open to block scheduling with manager approval, depending on unit needs.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of perfusionist experience, including experience within the last year.
• ABCP certification.
• ACLS certification.
• BLS certification.

Facility & Work Environment

• Total staffed beds: 276.
• Scrubs provided.
• Charting system: Epic.
• Free parking.
• Hurricane season (June–November) may require emergency response team participation.

• Radiation badge process may take 5-7 days; candidates cannot start floor duties without badge.
