Job Overview
- Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Night shift, 3x12 hours
- Hours: 36 per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Schedule note: Every other weekend
Role Summary
- Emergency Room RN caring for patients in a high-acuity emergency setting.
- Must be able to function independently with Level 1 trauma patients in the Trauma Bay.
- Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 4:1 or 5:1, depending on assignment area.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Florida
- ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- TNCC
- NIHSS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
- Experience with Epic
Compliance and Health Requirements
- Background check within 6 months of start, covering all locations lived, worked, or attended school in the past 7 years
- Education verification
- Fingerprinting clearance on file before start
- Physical exam showing the candidate is free of communicable diseases and able to perform the job without restrictions
- Annual fit test
- Negative TB screening or chest X-ray
- Immunity or documentation for measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start
- Seasonal flu documentation during flu season
