Physical Therapist - Home Health

Location: Akron, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 8:15 AM – 5:00 PM
• One weekend on-call every 6 weeks
• Coverage area includes Brunswick, Lodi, Media, Seville, and Wadsworth regions

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Ohio
• Minimum of 1 year of Physical Therapist experience within the last year
• Experience in an Acute Care setting
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance with your name as a listed driver

Preferred Qualifications

• Home care experience
• Strong communication skills with patients, families, physicians, and co-workers
• Knowledge of therapy best practices and sound clinical judgment
• Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively

Additional Requirements

• Background check and fingerprinting must be completed prior to start (per Ohio state regulations)
• Drug screening as required by client standards
• Immunization and health documentation including:

  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within the last year (or chest x-ray within 5 years if previously positive)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or declination form
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season (Nov-Apr) if applicable
• Physical exam documentation may be required depending on location

Work Environment

• Home health setting providing physical therapy services in patients’ homes
• Ability to travel within the specified regional coverage area
