Overview

Specialty: Registered Nurse, CVICU

Contract length: 13 weeks
Schedule: Day shift, 3x12 hours
Hours per week: 36
Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
Floating: May float to CCU, CTICU, ICU, and/or stepdown

Unit Details

Patient ratios are typically 1:2 and may increase to 1:3 based on acuity
Fresh cardiac open-heart patients are 1:1

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New Jersey
CVICU experience within the last year
1 year of CVICU experience
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Fresh open heart surgical patient experience
CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Graft) experience
Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) experience
Impella experience
TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement) experience
CCU - Coronary Care experience
ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
Stepdown experience
