Job Overview

• Setting: Medical-surgical telemetry overflow
• Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New York
• Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Required Compliance / Screening

• Background check completed within 30 days of start and updated annually
• State license verification within 30 days of start
• Employment application and missing-information tracking documents must include a current valid phone number and email address
• Skills checklist must be current within the last year
• Standard 9-panel drug screen completed within 30 days prior to start
• Physical exam using the facility-specific form, initiated within 24–48 hours of offer acceptance and completed within 30 days prior to start
• Fit test completed within 12 months of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray completed within 1 year of start
• Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B immunity/documentation required
• Flu vaccination or approved declination/exemption required during flu season
• COVID vaccine documentation is preferred
• AUP form must be reviewed and signed before start

Additional Notes

• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam required with a minimum score of 80%
• Facility-specific physical form cannot be completed onsite
