SICU Travel Nurse

• New Orleans, Louisiana

Contract Details

• 13 weeks
• Travel/contract position
• Day shift: 3x12 hours, 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Louisiana
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• SICU - Surgical Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
• SICU - Surgical Intensive Care experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Experience in a Critical Care setting
• Cardiac monitoring experience
• Central Venous Pressure Monitoring experience
• Post cardiac surgery experience
• Pre/Post cardiac cath intervention experience
• Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy experience
• IV Therapy experience including blood product administration, central line management, and PICC line management
• Drip titration experience
• Chest tube insertion and removal experience
• Care of ventilated patients experience
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Experience

• Liver, kidney, or pancreas transplant recovery
• High-acuity ICU
• LVAD/RVAD
• Heart transplant recovery
• Lung transplant recovery

Work Expectations

• May float to other ICUs and SDUs
• Must be willing to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually
• May be assigned to an emergency team during emergency events and may be required to remain at the facility until the event passes or serve on the relief team
