Job Overview

Travel/contract RN position in Pomona, California
Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
36 hours per week
13-week assignment
Patient ratio: 1:2
First-time travelers accepted
Local candidates accepted

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in California
Labor and Delivery (1 year of experience)
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Vaginal exam ability and experience
Baby care ability and experience
Experience with birth volumes ranging from less than 100 to greater than 300 births

Schedule / Assignment Expectations

Weekend requirement: 2 weekends every 6 weeks
May be asked to work holidays
Three missed shifts may result in cancellation
Client can cancel up to 3 shifts during the assignment

Work Conditions

No on-call
Does not float outside scope to meet facility needs
No block schedule accommodation
Free parking

Pros

Cath lab is super traveler friendly, easygoing docs, nice coworkers, super easy to get to the facility from surrounding areas, great about scheduling what you needed off, LOTS of outdoor activities to do within an hour of here! Safe gated parking area (called the Cage), hospital is clean and welcoming, staff usually pretty great in all areas I went.

Cons

DO NOT STAY IN POMONA, stay in surrounding areas (San Dimas, La Verne, Covina, Glendora, Diamond Bar, Chino Hills, Claremont are all good).
