Job Details

• Shift: Mid shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM)
• Schedule: Every other weekend required
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Start date: ASAP
• Hours per week: 40

Specialty Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist
• Strong experience in Microbiology and Chemistry preferred

  • Microbiology: Comfort with positive blood culture and spinal fluid gram stains; molecular testing is a plus
  • Chemistry: Experience with Roche Chemistry analyzers or middleware is a plus
• Laboratory Information System (LIS) experience with Soft and SoftMIC is advantageous

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist, including experience within the last year
• ASCP certification required
• Experience in Microbiology
• Experience in Chemistry

Additional Requirements

• Must comply with background checks, drug screening, and various health and safety verifications including:

  • COVID-19 vaccination plus 1 booster
  • Hepatitis B, MMR, TdaP, Varicella vaccinations or records
  • TB screening
• Must complete mandatory annual training and orientation packets
• Must provide documentation such as educational and employment verification, references, physical exam, and skills checklist

Other Information

• No specific scrub color required
• July 4th weekend is a holiday blackout period (no time off allowed)
