Job Type

- Shift: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Job Description
- Maintain a professional image and provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers.
- Verify patient identity using two identifiers before procedures.
- Confirm correct exam orders by reviewing charts or prescriptions; clarify orders as needed.
- Adhere to patient confidentiality policies.
- Complete annual training and demonstrate age-specific care.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, duration, expectations, and desired results.
- Provide compassionate care to reduce patient anxiety.
- Select and apply appropriate technical factors based on patient body habitus, pathology, and body part.
- Ensure proper patient positioning during procedures.
- Verify image quality and successful transfer to PACS before radiologist review.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of imaging equipment.
- Maintain attentiveness to equipment and patient throughout procedures.
- Complete procedures efficiently based on complexity and patient condition.
- Maintain all required documentation and data in compliance with accrediting standards.
- After orientation, perform all radiological exams (X-Ray, DXA, Fluoroscopy, OR exams, Portables, CT scans) independently following hospital protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in South Carolina.
- Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Certification by the South Carolina Radiologic Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA).
- Radiology Technician experience.
- Certification by the American Association of Radiologic Technologists (AART).
